Viene detto che anche un poco d\u2019attenzione all\u2019occultismo produce grandi risultati karmici.
\nCi\u00f2 avviene perch\u00e9 non \u00e8 possibile dare la bench\u00e9 minima attenzione all\u2019occultismo senza compiere una
\nscelta definitiva tra quello che viene chiamato comunemente il bene ed il male.
\nIl primo passo in occultismo porta il discepolo all\u2019albero della conoscenza. Egli deve cogliere e
\nmangiare: deve fare una scelta. Non ha pi\u00f9 l\u2019opzione dell\u2019indecisione dell\u2019ignoranza. Egli avanza sul sentiero buono o su quello cattivo. E l\u2019incedere definito e conscio sull\u2019uno o sull\u2019altro dei due sentieri produce un grande risultato karmico.<\/p>\n
La maggioranza degli uomini cammina esitando incerta su quale sia la meta cui anela. Il loro standard di vita non \u00e8 definito, e di conseguenza il loro Karma opera in maniera confusa. Ma allorquando la soglia della conoscenza sia raggiunta, la confusione comincia a diminuire e di conseguenza i risultati karmici aumentano enormemente poich\u00e9 agiscono su tutti i piani nella medesima direzione.
\nL\u2019occultista non pu\u00f2 essere un tiepido senza entusiasmo, n\u00e9 pu\u00f2 tornare indietro dopo aver varcato la soglia.
\nQuesto sarebbe impossibile come all\u2019uomo tornare fanciullo.<\/p>\n

\nThat is because it is impossible to give any attention to Occultism without making a definite choice between what are familiarly called good and evil. <\/em><\/span>
\nThe first step in Occultism brings the student to the tree of knowledge.He must pluck and eat; he must choose. No longer is he capable of the indecision of ignorance.<\/em><\/span>
\nHe goes on, either on the good or on the evil path. And to step definitely and knowingly even but one step on either path produces great karmic results. The mass of men walk waveringly, uncertain as to the goal they aim at; their standard of life is indefinite; consequently their karma operates in a confused manner.<\/em><\/span>
\nBut when once the threshold of knowledge is reached, the confusion begins to lessen, and consequently the karmic results increase enormously, because all are acting in the same direction on all the different planes; for the occultist cannot be half-hearted, nor can he return when he has passed the threshold. These things are as impossible as that the man should become the child again.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
